Typhoon Egay Update
Typhone “Egay” (international name: Sepat) continues to approach Philippines in a westward direction towards Northern Luzon according to PAG-ASA as of Aug 15, 5am. However, Typhoon “Egay” is inducing the southwest monsoon and bringing heavy rains in Western part of Luzon and Visayas (Metro Manila included).

Synopsis : At 2:00 a.m. today, Typhoon “EGAY” was located based on satellite and surface data at 650 kms east of Casiguran, Aurora (15.8ºN, 128.9ºE) with maximum sustained winds of 140 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 170 kph. It is forecast to move west at 15 kph. Moderate to strong southwesterly windflow prevailing over the western sections of Luzon and Visayas.
