The EAGLES

Who among you like the Eagles? Yes, the band who sang Tequila Sunrise, Desperado, Hotel California and a lot more.

On my way home to Zambales earlier, the conductor of the bus I boarded played the Farewell 1 concert of the Eagles on DVD. I closed the book I brought with me since I know very well that I wouldn’t be able to concentrate reading it anyway. Well, the Eagles’ concert was held in Melbourne, Australia. I think it was in an auditorium and was jam packed. Mind you, it was my first time to see the band and I realized just now that they’re pretty old to be singing rock but it’s cool. And when they started singing - I was transported to the place where they were. It was pretty intense, I couldn’t believe my eyes and my ears…Hehehe…Grabe guid.

It was like I was there singing New Kid in Town, Love Will Keep Us Alive and Lyin’ Eyes with the rest of the audience. And I can’t help admiring their guitars. I so wanted to learn to play the guitar and I can’t help wanting to really learn so I could play their songs. I especially want to learn how to play Hotel California. Sad to say I didn’t get to hear them sing it ’cause it was already my stop -I’m already in front of my parent’s house. Haay, gusto kong maiyak sa dismaya. Pagka antay -antay ko pa naman.

I just resolved to thinking that I’m going to buy their DVD so I could watch it anytime I want. Kakainis kasi dapat sinalpak na ‘yon nung nasa Manila palang para di ako nabitin. But there are two things I learned today, all the band members sing and play the guitar exceptionally well. And that I was a big fan after all.
